"We can specialize in everything," says Mike Shrum, a technician at the Summit Bechtel Reserves new health lodge. The large multi-room medical complex houses specialty equipment as well as professionals trained in numerous fields. The advanced facility is a place no Scout or Venturer wants to end up, but if they do the medical professionals there and across the 2013 National Scout Jamboree are ready to care for them.

From their perch aside Goodrich Lake and the gleaming AT&T Summit Stadium stage, the 2013 National Jamboree Band is sending melodies and harmonies swirling through the Summit Bechtel Reserve as they practice for performances during the jamboree. Their big show is scheduled for this afternoon as part of the stadium show.
"They'll hear us, just listen for the music," says associate band director David Mruzek of Hanover, Ind.

Jonathan Rose and Alex Lebowitz, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, were in a quandary on Thursday. The two Scouts were at the Outdoor Ethics area wondering how to spark interest in the principles of Leave No Trace in Troop 194 of Mason, Ohio.
Rose, a Life Scout, says he had been camping for years when he found something online about an LNT training course. Lebowitz discovered LNT in school while researching a presentation on Venturing.

"According to weather forecasts, significant inclement weather is possible on Saturday," says Boy Scouts of America spokesperson Isaac McDaniel in a statement issued at 10:30 p.m. Friday. "Storms with lightning, high winds, and heavy rain are predicted. As a result, the program schedule for Saturday was adjusted."
