Fifty feet above the ground, with a only a thin cable underfoot, balance ropes barely in reach, with just a safety harness to calm the nerves, each Scout's or Venturer's task is simple: Just make it across to the next platform. This trial of strength and agility is part of the invigorating challenge course at the Ropes, one of the many activity areas at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Update July 23, 6:11 p.m.:
Contributions collected for the World Friendship Fund at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree exceeded $25,000, which will be used to benefit Scouting around the globe.
"Size small life jackets are now in and are being issued at both the Water Reality and Dragon Boats activity areas," says Scott Weaver, from the High Adventure Safety Corps. Those program areas, on Goodrich Lake, already stocked life vests in larger sizes.
The goal of Dragon Boats is to paddle a 100-yard course for time, and Water Reality is is a floating obstacle course in the lake that four-person teams tackle in a timed event.
